Rear Admiral Rock is a native of Upstate NY & assumed command of the Navy’s Mid-Atlantic Region on July 20, 2018. He was commissioned through the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Program at Texas A&M University & holds a master’s degree in national security strategy from the National War College. His assignments at sea were aboard the USS Mahlon S.Tisdale; USS Abraham Lincoln;  USS Cole; USS Leyte; USS Donald Cook &  High Speed Vessel Swift. Ashore he has served with U.S. European Command; U.S. Joint Forces Command & the Supreme Allied Commander, the Joint Chiefs of Staff; Navy Installations Command; Fleet Activities Sasebo and as Commandant, Naval District Washington.
