Chamber Celebrates Black History MonthFebruary 28, 2019On February 28th, 2019, The Greater New York Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Black History Awards Breakfast at the Hard Rock Cafe located in Times Square. This annual event recognizes the heritage, accomplishments, and culture of African Americans. In addition to the award recipients (see picture), the Chamber awarded a "Community Service Award", to Billy Mitchell for The Apollo Theater recognizing their 85th anniversary and their contribution to the music, arts, black culture in New York City.
