Womens History Month Awards Celebrating Women in Leadership

On Thursday, March 28th at the General Society Library in New York City, we celebrated our Annual Women's
History Month Cocktail Reception. We were delighted to recognize these women for their outstanding work as a great role model for all women to aspire to! Stephanie Dawson, Colonel, Retired USA; Colonel Dawson was the first female brigade commander in New York Army National Guard history. She commanded the historic 369th Sustainment Brigade, the Harlem Hellfighters from 2008 until her retirement in 2011. Elizabeth de Leon Bhargava, Esq; Ms. de Leon Bhargava serves as the
Deputy Secretary for Labor and Workforce for the office of New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo, and is the first Latina to hold the position. Joanne Fernandez; Ms. Fernandez serves as the Manager of Government Affairs at Entergy. Since 2014 she has, also, served as the Chairperson of the Westchester County Parks Foundation. Lauren Leader; is the Co-Founder and CEO of All In Together. She is an author and activist on women's issues and a regular commentator on MSNBC.
